Today I am doing something different. I urge you to please take a moment and just reflect. Take these words and pray to the Lord. I know you may not be in the same place as me, feel the same way as me, or understand where I am coming from, but through this reflection/prayer I will be praying for the walls of your hearts to be broken down and for the love of Christ to flood your heart like a raging river.
A letter to God:
‘I will sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously;
horse and rider he has thrown into the sea.
The Lord is my strength and my might,
and he has become my salvation;
this is my God, and I will praise him,
my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
The Lord is a warrior;
the Lord is his name’
-Exodus 15:1-3 (The rest of Exodus 15 is pretty legit too, you should check it out)
O, how wonderful it is to be loved by You. To be loved by the King of Kings, the Creator of the world, the Alpha and Omega so strongly, yet so gently. To be embraced by You and Your love leaves me in awe. A state of total peace and admiration. To know you so intimately makes my heart flutter. You know me better than anyone, even myself. I thank you for the precious gift of grace that you have bestowed upon me and the ability to love you, but most importantly, I thank you for loving me. I’m in awe. Awe of Your presence and love everyday.
In Jesus I have met the One who brings out the best in me.
You call me everyday to be an instrument of your peace and a vessel of your love. I beg that in my faithfulness I can do so, but I know with your endless mercy, anything is possible.To not only be your beloved, but for You to be mine. Simply how can it be? How can it be that You call me? How can it be that You love me? It makes no sense, but this is grace. This is love. This is what every human heart desires: Your authentic and unending love.
He loves us not because we are lovable, but because He is love. – C.S Lewis
All I want is to do something BOLD for the Kingdom of Heaven. I know I wasn’t made for this world, but for Yours. please God fill my heart as I pray that with your grace I can show your face to all those around me. Please God stir up in my heart an insuperable passion of loving you for everything is good in your time, and everything done in your time is good.
Whenever you find yourself inclined to diffidence, lift up your heart lovingly to God, and be assured that your defects are, in the sight of His infinite goodness, but as a few threads of tow cast into a sea of fire. Figure to yourself a burning surface, as vast as the hemisphere we inhabit; if a piece of tow were thrown into it, would—it not be so absorbed in the fire as instantly to disappear? “Our God is a consuming fire,” and our imperfections, compared with His goodness, are what a piece of tow is to the furnace. When, therefore, we have fallen, let us humble ourselves sorrowfully in His presence, and then, with an act of unbounded confidence, let us throw ourselves into the ocean of His goodness, where every failing will be canceled, and anxiety will be turned into love. – St. Paul of the Cross
